Our Little Princess, Alina Nevaeh, was born on September 29, 2006. She fell asleep on earth and woke up in beautiful Heaven with angel wings on December 6, 2007; the hardest day of our lives.

Alina was our third baby that we waited so long to have. We already had two boys, so the third one was our luck charm. She was going to be the first baby girl on mommy's side of the family. When I told my mom and sister they were so excited; they both started to buy her lots of clothes, shoes and toys. Everyone was so excited.

Finally Alina arrived on September 29, 2006. My Precious Miracle came into the world looking so beautiful. From that day forward life was filled with beautiful moments for our families. She was so spoiled and had whatever she wanted. My Alina was so full of life; everyone who saw her would always tell us what a precious princess we had. She was always ready with her nice dress and big bow. She had so many bows that they nicknamed her "the bow baby". I remember when I took her to my work one time and our administrator saw her and said "What a beautiful baby you have! That bow is so big she looks like a Christmas present!" He was so right.

Alina was my gift and I didn't want anything else. I am going to miss shopping with her every weekend and buying her pretty pink clothes, shoes, and her bows that she looked so precious in. I see her things everyday and wonder why me, my LORD? But then realize she is still here with me only things are different. She just traded her pretty pink dress and big bow for a halo and snow white wings.

Every day was a wonderful day for mommy, daddy and her brothers until that tragic day. It was Wednesday December 5, 2007. It was Daddy's day off and we always did something on his days off, but that day we didn't. We decided to stay home. A while later he tells me he’s going to his mom's house to help clean up. I said alright, I'm going to my doctor's appointment as I was pregnant with Alina's baby brother. I called him after I finished letting him know I needed to wash the kid's clothes. He told me come over to his mom's and do laundry there. My daughter and I arrive and everything was going good. Alina was eating and playing with her brothers.

A while later we went outside to play. I will forever remember that day as if it was yesterday. The kids were playing. The wind was so strong that day and it had been raining. I look toward where my baby girl was and I was five feet away from her. Then I see the plywood about to fall on her. I ran and tried to stop it, but they were too heavy for me and they ended up falling on her anyway. I started to yell like a crazy person for my brother-in-law and my husband. They came outside and rushed my daughter to the hospital. When I got there my baby was on life support; the worst feeling ever. I had hoped that everything was going to be fine; I prayed and prayed as I saw my baby lay so innocently. Hours later they sent her to Valley’s Children Hospital in Madera, California.

When we arrived all we wanted to do was see and hold our little one. They did so many tests on her, but there was no hope. She had a severe skull fracture to her head. As much as this hurts we had such peace to know that our princess not once felt pain, nor did she ever cry. On December 6, 2007 we decided to have her taken off life support. That was the hardest thing as parents we ever had to do. At 4:50 p.m. our baby girl received her angel wings and went on her journey to Heaven. The last time we saw you with your beautiful eyes open you were laughing and playing. Every time we think of you we clearly see your precious face smiling at us. We love you, Princess. We will forever love you, Mama’s Chula
